UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) 50+ means the fabric blocks at least 98% of the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. It lets only 1/50 of UV radiation pass through. Unlike standard clothing our UPF 50+ fabrics are tried and tested to guard you against UV rays.

For context, a plain white cotton T-shirt has only UPF 9. It lets through more UV rays than a UPF 50+ garment. This makes dedicated sun protection clothing a smarter choice for anyone spending extended time outdoors.
